An entire floor of an Art Series hotel was booked for this destination wedding!
Kerry and Deleon live in the United States and chose to become husband and wife at a funky art hotel in Melbourne CBD. Fortunately it was just before Covid restrictions came in as otherwise their they and their celebrant wouldn’t have been able to come to Australia for their own wedding!
Their wedding venue was The Blackman hotel, which since all the COVID restrictions now seems to be permanently closed with rumours it will reopen as a rebranded hotel.
First Look Wedding Photos
Their ceremony was on the balcony with stunning flowers from Petal and Sage in Sandringham. To ensure they could spend as much time as possible with their guests we did a first look and took their bride and groom and family photos before their ceremony.
Coming all the way from USA to get married spending as much as time with their guests was their priority. So photos before their ceremony was perfect.
Kerry and Deleon went for a walk around the block from the hotel and took a variety of photos before heading back and taking all the family photos.
They both wanted a relaxed and fun wedding date and that’s exactly what they got. They both greeted their guests and had also arranged a magician to come and entertain. The guests LOVED the magician!
As the sun was setting the bride and groom walked outside and became husband and wife by their close friend and celebrant who had created such a fun, emotional and memorable ceremony.
Whilst the original plan was for them to get married in a country area surrounded by the wilderness and feel connected to the great outdoors, their wedding was absolutely perfect and luckily in Melbourne CBD there are still plenty of open spaces and gardens to enjoy!
So thankful they had their destination wedding before COVID restrictions closed our international’s borders for quite some time!
