Mornington Peninsula wedding – RACV Cape Schanck Resort
A stormy, windy day was not what Alex and Angelo had dreamt for their wedding day, but fortunately the RACV Cape Schanck Resort has plenty of undercover and great inside areas.
Emma Tomlinson was their celebrant and on days like these you really see the benefits of having experienced local professionals at weddings. The ceremony was seamlessly moved indoors as the rain was not going to stop for their planned outside ceremony.
The bride and bridesmaids got ready in one of the rooms in the main building at RACV Cape Schanck while the groom and groomsmen got ready at one of the villas on the course.
After the ceremony we took family photos indoors against the awesome neutral color wall with beautiful natural light. We also took some bridal party photos indoors – especially in the beautiful staircase area!
The bridal party then braved the outdoors and we went to Cape Schanck Lighthouse as well as the scenic park on the way back.
The rain continued throughout the evening, however we did still take some outdoor night photos!
With such crazy Melbourne weather for their summer wedding day it was simply awesome that they’d booked a venue with such great indoor and undercover areas. That’s one thing you can’t plan or change on your wedding day – the weather. So in Melbourne it is best to have plans for everything. That’s why I have big white golf umbrellas in my car – even in summer!
