Western Australia Wedding

I was delighted to be asked to photograph the interstate destination wedding for Krysta and Tom who were living in Melbourne but both originally from Perth, W.A.

Krysta and Tom got married at a beautiful country, family property in Kelmscott, W.A.  Compelete with a cheese wheel wedding cake, oyster bar and plenty of fairy lights!

Their cheese wedding cake was ideal to add to their grazing table after they’d cut their cake.

Having a DIY wedding on private property often takes more planning (and a bit more stress!) to organise.  The weather the day prior was super windy and the gazebo and shelter were bent in the strong winds and unusable for their wedding day.  Luckily the rain stayed away for their wedding day celebrations and with great planning – plenty of food, fires/heaters, drinks and party lights and music – their day was absolutely amazing!

One of their close friends had just became a celebrant, so the day was super special in so many ways.  I was absolutely honoured to have travelled to the other side of Australia to share this special day with this lovely couple.

After their ceremony the bridal party then went to Araluen Botanic Gardens which provided great backgrounds for their wedding photos!

I made the most of the interstate travel and did a road trip down to Esperance and along the coast back to Mandurah.
